Brytyjski zespół The Mission powstał w 1986r. po rozpadzie Sisters of Mercy i stworzył swoją niepowtarzalną odmianę gothic rocka. Skład grupy zmieniał się kilkakrotnie, lecz jego stałym punktem zawsze był wokalista Wayne Hussey.

Pomiędzy 27 lutego a 1 marca 2008r. zespół dał cztery pamiętne koncerty w londyńskiej sali Shepherd's Bush Empire, podczas których wykonał w całości albumy "The First Chapter", "God's Own Medicine", "Children" i "Carved In Sand", a podczas drugiego występu w ostatni wieczór zagrał największe przeboje i utwory ulubione przez fanów.

Rejestracja tych niepowtarzalnych koncertów dostępna jest teraz na pięknie wydanym zestawie. Nagrania zmiksował Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Pixies, Ghost).
