Jeden z najbardziej uznanych i popularnych brytyjskich śpiewających
autorów rozpoczynał karierę w latach 60., występując w klubach. Latem
1967r. podpisał kontrakt z wytwórnią Transatlantic, dla której nagrał
trzy albumy i kompilację "Ralph McTell Revisited" z ponownie nagranymi
i zremiksowanymi utworami.
Na dwupłytowej antologii znalazły się wszystkie utwory nagrane dla
wytwórni z producentem Gusem Dudgeonem, aranżerami Tonym Viscontim i
Mike'em Vickersem oraz znakomitymi muzykami, m.in. Clemem Cattinim i
Clive'em Palmerem. Warto przypomnieć sobie oryginalną wersję klasyka
"Streets Of London", niepublikowaną dotąd wersję "Eight Frames A Second"
czy wydany tylko na singlu "Summer Come Along".
